Epic Games has brought the Fortnite servers down for maintenance, and this is to bring the v29.30 patch to players on all platforms. Read on for the Fortnite server downtime schedule and info.

Fortnite Server Downtime Schedule for April 23:

Update: Patch notes and details for v29.30 is now available!

Here’s the announcement from Epic Games:

Start: 4 am ET/1 am PT/4 pm HKT

Duration: Not specified but usually 2 hours

While the patch notes for v29.30 isn’t available yet, players can expect the Page 2 Quest Rewards for the Battle Pass to be available tomorrow, as it’s part of the roll out of fixes.

In addition to that, we’ve also included the known issues with the game’s various modes, and we’re expecting some of the listed problems to be part of today’s fixes.

GENERAL TOP ISSUES:

In Development:

  • Players may be unable to use their driving controls when attempting to drive a Vehicle.
  • Gifting Unavailable For Some Players

BATTLE ROYALE TOP ISSUES:

Fixed in Next Game Update:

  • The visual indicator showing “First Match Loss Prevention” in Ranked Battle Royale & Ranked Zero Build has been temporarily disabled.

LEGO FORTNITE TOP ISSUES:

In Development:

  • Dynamic Structure parts may displace and shift when moving fast
  • Consumable buff timers can be overwritten when eating another consumable with a buff
  • Villagers exploring with players may destroy structures while trying to harvest.
  • Players are unable to sit on Seating furniture that is touching a wall
  • There is no indication of which direction some furniture is being placed

ROCKET RACING TOP ISSUES:

Fixed in Next Game Update:

  • “First match protected” text is occasionally displayed after switching game modes
  • Occasionally after skipping the Rocket Racing trailer, screen turns black and is unresponsive.
  • Tracks sometimes have unexpected collisions
  • Console and Mobile players may experience hitches while navigating Discover Menu

In Development:

  • Vehicle appears blurry at start of race

Investigating:

Ranked quests show incomplete after reaching the next rank.

FORTNITE FESTIVAL TOP ISSUES:

In Development:

  • Jam Stage Mixers – Players need to equip Jam Tracks before hopping into the Jam Stage to access songs and start making music.
  • Not seeing any songs available upon launching Fortnite Festival Main Stage.
  • Players will sometimes not animate on the Main Stage.
  • Fender Stratocaster and Fender Precision Bass selectable colors show as an X.

Investigating:

  • Audio Stuttering On Switch After Extended Play
  • ‘Toggle’ custom keybind interfering with ‘Open Songlist’

SAVE THE WORLD TOP ISSUES:

Fixed in Next Game Update:

  • Camera stuck during first Storm Shield or Tutorial cutscene
  • Crosshairs disappear after eating a consumable.
  • View Distance Rendering
